Classroom Soundproofing

In the education sector, creating the right environment for learning is essential.

As a result, nurseries, schools, colleges and universities all need to have spaces that promote clear, comfortable communication. Bad acoustics in a classroom can be distracting and limit understanding. Sound can bounce around the classroom, overall noise levels tend to rise and concentration is affected…all detrimental to effective learning.

The good news is that adding sound proofing and noise control products such as acoustic ceiling or acoustic panels to your classroom, auditorium or studio will have an immediate effect, reducing sound levels and promoting clarity.

Typically, buildings in education will benefit the best from our professional and unique suspended raft and wall panel systems.

Expert solutions from an experienced team

As experts, we’ve installed thousands of acoustic panels and noise solutions in classrooms, schools, colleges and academies all over the UK to ensure compliance with BB93. (There’s more about this regulation here).

For environments where reverberation is an issue, we have robust solutions in the form of acoustic raft panels. These amazing panels absorb sound energy and improve the experience for everyone.

What’s more, our acoustic baffles are also very popular in educational settings. Did you know that we have a unique way of manufacturing baffles that almost makes them appear seamless?

IMPROVING SOUND QUALITY NATIONWIDE

Back in 2014, the government released a new regulation, BB93, to make sure acoustics in new schools were up to the highest possible standard. After 2015, this was rolled out to all schools. All schools have to meet minimum standards for acoustics tailored to the activity in each space. You can find out more about BB93 here. What’s more, as education managers seek to refurbish, extend and improve their buildings, BB93 is likely to become an integral part of design in the future.

Finally, we are passionate about helping the education sector achieve excellent classroom acoustics. We recognise that this supports learning and promotes wellbeing and comfort for both students and teachers, so get in touch to speak with our experts today for advice with your sound control.
